Overcomplication Hurts Us:We talked all about simplicity… the ultimate sophistication…
- It’s my personal opinion that it is the overcomplicating of nutrition and fitness that got us here… (obesity epidemic!)
- Poke around the internet for approximately 10 minutes…
- That should be all it takes before you see an ad for a nutrition plan, pill, potion, fitness trainer, water with magic fairy dust that make you fart perfume… Blah blah blah
- The health and wellness space is complicated on purpose…
- Because they WANT YOU to fail… They want you to bounce from plan to plan…
- With Clovis, my ultimate goal is to help you simplify your life… Period.
We talked about how to simplify your health & wellness journey for sustained success…
Mainstream Health & Wellness: The Average woman tries at least 7 different “diet plans” in her lifetime… Some women try many more… Why? … CONFUSION SELLS!
- The internet is an endless sea of “experts” and “gurus” who claim “their way” is the “only way”…
- If you Google "fat loss” you’ll get 418 million results…
- But as you Clovis folks know… the science of fat loss could not be simpler…
- What does this tell us?
- "Simple" doesn’t make money…
- The industry is counting on your plans failing…
- They want you to fail!
- So you keep spending money on the next fad… Over and over…
- Buying products all along the way…
- They study your behavior and they market to you based on your past behavior…
- The main principle with all of these programs is to "Overcomplicate!"
- Make it more difficult than it needs to be…
- The more confusing, the better, so you feel like you NEED them…
- You couldn’t possibly succeed without their genius guidance…
- So you need the video to get the workout in!!
- You can’t possibly remember that entire workout from memory…
- And that’s the whole point… They want to make you an addict…
- Every day, for 30 days, 60 days, 90 days…
- You’re hitting the play button, you’re seeing their Logo in your face…
- Your kids are seeing the logo…
- Your partner is seeing the logo...
- It’s the ultimate trick for brand awareness…
- You’ve been brainwashed for decades that you need a Hip Hop Abs program to get any results…
- And yet nobody gets sustained results this way!
- And millions of people keep buying!!
- It’s insanity…
- How many people in Clovis thought I was nuts when I said “stop working out"
- And then you lost 40, 50, 60, 70 pounds!!! Just with simplified nutrition!
- That’s it, everybody! Simple.
- Take a long walk each day… For free. Without an instructor.
- For an average, everyday person, who’s not trying to be an athlete…
- Minimum Effective Dose:

- 2-3 aerobic threshold training sessions per week.
- That’s it. And you don’t even have to pay me for that advice!
- What do we know about people and dieting?
- They don’t want to give up their favorite foods!
- They really, really, don’t…
- The “challenge” and “reset” words...
- What are these here for?
- These keep you in your comfort zone!
- Because they don't carry "permanence!"
- They make you feel comfortable because your brain thinks, “this is just temporary! I can do anything for 30 days!”
- In your head, this is a sweet deal!
- In the marketers head, this is a sweet deal!
- Why? Because you’re going to finish your “challenge” and go straight back to your old ways, gain all the weight back, and they say shit like…
- “Well, I’ll do another Whole 30 challenge in a few months! You know, I’ve got my sister’s wedding coming up in February so I’ll just wait…”
- Again… This is insanity everybody!
- It’s crazy people behavior!!!
- What’s the Minimum Effective Dose for Nutrition? For the average person?
- It’s easy...
- Take the Food Pyramid, turn it upside down…

- If we take the most commonly eaten foods in America… wheat, corn, soy, sugar, dairy, and industrial vegetable oils…
- and make them the LEAST commonly consumed foods in America.
- The healthcare epidemic goes away entirely!
