Dairy & Fruit: The Most Common ANTI-Health Foods!

Normally, when I tell people to ditch dairy and fruit, I go back to my old boxing days and cover my face in anticipation as my client’s fury…
It’s understandable… I mean, we’ve all been sold the same lies that dairy and fruit are “health foods.” We’ve heard this for decades now.
Just more Mainstream nonsense.
I promise you, just like removing grains, removing dairy and fruit will be a game-changer as far as the physical changes it will create. Plus it comes with some bonus health boosts.
Cutting out dairy got rid of the constant gunky feeling I had in the back of my throat. It was one of the most significant factors that helped reduce my seasonal allergies!
And ditching fruit made my cravings for sugary foods disappear in less than 48 hours!
So, Why No Dairy?!
Truth is, most of us have some sort of sensitivity to dairy in this country but we’ve been force-fed it through advertising so we don’t even notice.
- Despite its convenience and deliciousness, dairy has minimal nutritional benefits.
- Its vitamin D value is overstated.
- You pee out most of the calcium it gives you.
In fact, pasteurized and homogenized milk has actually been shown to leach calcium from the body!
And all those other healthy nutrients it’s supposed to have?!
Well, they’ve been replaced by the hormones and chemicals they pump into the cows to get them to produce as much milk as possible.
So, without dairy in your diet, how will you get these crucial minerals and nutrients?
Easy, you just stick to the Clovis Approved Foods I gave you in your Day 1 Email and you’ll be fine!
Bone broth and leafy greens have a considerable amount of calcium and animal proteins will boost your vitamin D. (Particularly Organ Meats!)
Here’s a hard truth I’ve learned on my personal journey (I resisted cutting dairy for a long time)…
You cannot look cut and consume dairy. Period.
Even bodybuilders completely avoid dairy when it comes time to "cut."
Removing dairy will do a lot to aid in any overall “puffy” feelings you might have, and now that we’ve removed soy, grain and dairy- we’ve cut out the biggest offenders of food sensitivities.
You should already be starting to feel so much better, and your clothes should be a bit looser too.
Your skin will start to improve once it gets over the initial shock, (especially if you were a big dairy & fruit consumer).
Oh, and ladies, your periods might even be a little less "crampy.”
Okay, but what about fruit?!
This nutrition adjustment is the hardest for people to wrap their heads around.
To be clear, a "fruit" for our purposes, is anything that's supposed to have seeds.
On top of traditional sweet fruits, that also includes:
- Peppers
- Zucchini
- Tomatoes
- Eggplant
You may be asking yourself, "Fruit is supposed to be a health food, right?”
Truth is that is used to be, a long, long time ago. Way back when almost all humans were living closer to the equator.
But thanks to today’s way of making food for the masses fruit has become a multi-level assault on your system.
Fruit Assault #1: Lectins. Remember these guys from yesterday?
They do damage to the lining of the intestine and allow all sorts of things into your bloodstream.
Fruit today is packed with them and they will wreak havoc on your body.
Fruit Assault #2: High yield agriculture "practices."
This ain’t your grand daddy’s strawberry patch, buddy!
Organic, seedless fruit has suddenly become a good thing and yet fruit is supposed to have seeds so it can reproduce… right?
Every single piece of fruit you find in a grocery store is GMO, or, a genetically modified organism.
Even if it's labeled "Non-GMO," somewhere down the line, it was genetically modified. Fruit of today looks nothing like the fruit our ancestors ate!
It's terrifying how far we've come.
Fruit Assault #3: Lying labels.
Fruit labels are nowhere near accurate. As we figure out ways to hack crop quantities, brighten produce colors and bulk up the size of our fruit, we strip them of fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
This is literally the whole reason we're told to eat fruit... to get the micronutrients and fiber!
I'll give you an example, an orange from the 1950s contained a decent amount of Vitamin A.
Today it’s got almost none!
To consume the same amount of vitamin A that your grandparents would have gotten from a single orange, you would have to eat 21 of today's oranges.

For some of you, this will be easy since you’re not big fruit eaters.
But others will find this week extremely difficult. Remember to lean on your food guide for easy ways to beat those sugar cravings!
These little nutrition adjustments are allowing you to try new foods and get creative with your meal ideas.
We sometimes can feel like we’re missing out when we switch it up with our diet, but if you look at your old way of eating, you weren’t that wild and crazy. It was all nasty oils, cheap protein, starches, dairy, soy, and sugar, in different forms.
That is what you ate before!
I hope that knowing you’re going to see a difference in yourself within these 5 days will make it easier to say “no, thank you” to the temptations that will inevitably be sent your way.
