Day 5: The Problem With Fitness As You Know It
Today, we're going to take a small sidestep from nutrition and discuss the problem is with fitness as we know it.
You've been brainwashed into thinking that sweat is the only way you'll get the body you want.
The only logic you'll accept is that you need to hurt yourself to get abs or look fabulous in a bikini.
Today... that ends.
Sadly, the mentality of the fitness industry as a whole is, “massive commitment = massive results,". If you’re not getting the results then you must not be committed enough.
What a load of B.S!
If 3 days of CrossFit isn’t working, then you don’t need 6 days of CrossFit!!
If 2 hours in the gym every day isn’t working, another hour won’t make a difference.
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times: You can’t outwork a bad diet!
Here's the cold hard truth...
Some people have hit the genetic lottery, and they can eat utter garbage and look cut. It’s the same for people that were born with a rich daddy.
They can walk the earth treating people like crap and get away with it.
I don’t like it, and it's not particularly fair, but I’m not trying to change the world right now, I’m just trying to help you change YOUR world.
So, while I'm sure you "know someone" who blows everything I just said out of the water. They are massive outliers.
You, me, and 99% of the planet are not outliers, and that's ok because you now know how to work around it.
And while I'm spreading truths... here is the giant secret that nobody in the mainstream is telling you...
If you are overweight or obese, intense exercise can work directly AGAINST your goal of Fat Loss!
That's right, I said it, I meant it, I'm here to represent it!
Exercise is a "stressor," meaning, it places stress on the body.
Now, just think for a second, would you say someone walking around 100 pounds overweight, with autoimmune conditions, or metabolic conditions like insulin resistance and diabetes, is already living in an extremely stressed state? I certainly would.
So, by mainstream logic, the right move is to absolutely punish that person's body with as much intense exercise as possible and add a boatload more stress to an already stressful situation...
Do you see how dumb this sounds when you stop and think about it?!
Overweight and Obese individuals do not need more stress and punishment... they need HEALING!
And that's exactly what I give you with Clovis. We are going to be KIND to your body and help you HEAL.
By the way, I do this with all of my clients, including my Professional Athletes and everyone benefits from it.
By taking away all intense exercise for a period of time and focusing on healing and recovery, my Pro Athletes actually see an increase in overall performance when they get back into the gym!
It's amazing what a little TLC can do for us!
Work with your body and biochemistry not against it.
